A little slow going, but that is the true essence of this book. Although the heroine fell in love with the hero way too fast and it didn't ring true in the slightest (well maybe it does because she's a naive small-town woman). There are no more than four words to a page (basically one color and three fruit names on one side and just the textured picture on the other side), so this book is nice for multilingual families to use to talk about colors and fruits.
