The way you write your stories keep me interested and want to keep reading the next book.

I was already familiar with Cabeza de Vaca's extraordinary travel story, having read before at least part of his own report, written for King Charles V (not an easy read, because of the XVI Century Spanish) but Reséndez, besides making the history crystal clear, has fleshed it out with a lot of context, which makes it even more interesting and instructive. Each category is clearly and concisely noted and described, and the book is loaded with photos that show both the beauty of different models and the finer details of particular markings or features. I like the detail it goes into on each topic and how there are insights from actual knitters as to what they are looking for in a pattern. I love that there are things to find in each illustration.
